Learn to solve a 3×3 cube
CubeEasy is a beginner tutor for the classic 3×3 cube. Learn the 7-step layer method with Play and formulas. Two free runs, then a one-time Lifetime unlock.
CubeEasy is for a first solve. Press Play and the coach turns the cube, highlights the piece, and shows the formula for that step.
The 7-step layer method
- Step 1: White cross. Make a daisy on top, then place each white edge so it matches the side center.
- Step 2: Bottom corners. Solve the four white corners with the corner formula until the first layer is done.
- Step 3: Middle layer. Insert the four middle edges. The coach shows whether the piece goes left or right, then a narrow arrow and the formula.
- Step 4: Yellow cross. Form a cross on the last layer from the dot, L, or line case.
- Step 5: Match the sides. Line the last-layer edges up with the side centers.
- Step 6: Place the corners. Cycle the last corners until each one sits above its home colors.
- Step 7: Twist the corners. Orient the last corners until every face is one color and the cube is solved.
